Note: Denise joins tonight’s meeting as a newly elected board member who will focus on Crime Reporting
Guests: Stan Griffith / Stephanie (Resigned official board position as of 10/31/10)
The minutes for October were approved as read.
Treasurer’s Report – JohnBalance on hand as of 10/31/10 is $2798.24. Annual dues to the City are scheduled to increase from the current rate of $10 to $150.
Prior Business
Pete drafted a letter to City Commissioner Randy Leonard who oversees the Bureau of Development Services. When sent, it will be copied to Mayor Adams, the Fire Department, Willamette Week newspaper, and other concerned parties. The letter will note that the PHAN board’s goal is for the owners of the property to obtain a Conditional Use permit allowing the house to legitimately be used as a church meeting space.
Andi has applied for both grants. Further discussion will take place dependent on their approval. New BusinessJim and Stan presented a fundraising proposal for PHAN to operate a coffee cart at the Parkrose Farmers’ Market, which is open on weekends from 8am~3pm beginning the 1st Saturday in May through the last Sunday in October. After discussing pros and cons, the board decided to wait to vote on the proposal until Jim researches further and presents findings at the January board meeting.
Suggested invitees are a Portland Police representative and/or Representative Jeff Smith AJ also suggested inviting Alice McNasser to address what to do about illegally parked RVs, boats, cars, etc.
