Graffiti is a Growing Nuisance for Neighbors

A third home in a spree that involved over a dozen homes

In recent weeks more than a dozen homes and Knott Park have been graffitied and/or vandalized in Parkrose Heights.  This is a growing concern for Parkrose Heights residents and for the neighborhood association.  Parkrose Heights residents have been working with Denise Richards, graffiti abatement coordinator with the city of Portland, to photograph, report and remove graffiti.  The City of Portland does prosecute graffiti vandals when possible and encourages all resients to take an active role in reducing graffiti and vandalism.  To learn more on how to do this and what steps the City of Portland recommends when one sees graffiti, visit their website at http://www.portlandonline.com/oni/index.cfm?c=32420
